Ingredients
- 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 serrano chiles
- ⅓ cup cilantro, roughly chopped
- 1 ¼ Tbsp. Chef Merito® Fish Seasoning
- ½ red onion
- 2 cucumbers
- ½ cup Chef Merito® Lime Juice
- 2 lemons
- 4 tostadas
- Chef Merito® Black Pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
- Thoroughly clean the shrimp and butterfly them by making a slit along the back.
- In a blender, blend the serrano chiles, cilantro, Chef Merito® Lime Juice, ½ chopped cucumber, and Chef Merito® Fish Seasoning.
- In a mixing bowl, pour the blended marinade over the shrimp and let it marinate for 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Cut the red onion julienne style. Peel the cucumbers, cut them in half lengthwise, and slice.
- Mix the red onion and cucumbers with the marinated shrimp, then add salt and Chef Merito® Black Pepper to taste.
- Serve chilled with tostadas. Enjoy!
