Ingredients
- 6 lbs. Chuck (bone-in), pork, or boneless, skinless chicken
- 1 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Garlic Powder
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 Bay leaves
- 6 oz. White vinegar
- 9 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Adobo para Birria
- 2 cups Water
- Garnish: Cilantro, Lemon, and Onions
Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the meat with Chef Merito® Adobo para Birria, Chef Merito® Garlic Powder, and vinegar. Marinate for approximately 2 hours.
- Place the marinated meat in a pot and add water, chopped onion, and bay leaves. Mix, cover, and cook over medium/low heat for 3 hours. (In a slow cooker, cook for 8 hours.)
- Serve with chopped cilantro, onions, and lemon wedges.
