Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry dough (in refrigerated section)
- 1 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Garlic Powder
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsps. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup flour
Preparation
- Roll out puff pastry dough. Sprinkle surface with flour to prevent dough from sticking.
- Cut sheet into long zig-zag triangles with a sharp knife or pizza cutter. Separate triangles and, using a rolling pin, extend the individual triangles a bit more.
- Put 1 Tbsp. cheese on the wider part of the triangles, sprinkle with Chef Merito® Garlic Powder, and then roll them starting from the wide end towards the tip.
- Make sure the tip stays under the bottom of the croissant. Curve both ends towards you and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- In a bowl, beat the egg with 1 Tbsp. of water and brush croissants with the egg wash. Sprinkle more Chef Merito® Garlic Powder and Parmesan cheese over each croissant.
- Let them sit for a few minutes. Preheat the oven to 425º F and bake for 20 to 30 minutes until croissants are golden brown.
- Enjoy while warm!
