Ingredients
- 2 lbs. Lean Ground Beef
- 1 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Steak and Meat Seasoning
- ½ Onion, grated
- 1 tsp. Chef Merito® Garlic Powder
- ½ tsp. Chef Merito® Black Pepper
- 1 Egg
- 6 Hamburger Buns
- 2 Tbsp. Frying oil
Optional Garnishes:
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Pickles
- Onion
- Sliced Cheese
- Mayo
- Mustard
- Ketchup
Preparation
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, egg, Chef Merito® Steak and Meat Seasoning, Chef Merito® Garlic Powder, and Chef Merito® Black Pepper.
- Grate the onion on the smallest side over the bowl so the juices drip over the meat. Mix all ingredients by kneading with hands until smooth and integrated.
- Press the meat down in the bowl and score it into 6 sections with your hand. Separate each section and form 6 patties with your hands or using a patty press.
- Cook on a grill or skillet at medium heat. Press lightly in the center of each patty to make an indentation to avoid shrinkage.
- Cook for about 5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
- Assemble the hamburger by placing each patty on the bottom of a bun and topping with preferred garnishes.
