Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Steak and Meat Seasoning
  • ½ Onion, grated
  • 1 tsp. Chef Merito® Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp. Chef Merito® Black Pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 6 Hamburger Buns
  • 2 Tbsp. Frying oil

Optional Garnishes:

  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Pickles
  • Onion
  • Sliced Cheese
  • Mayo
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, egg, Chef Merito® Steak and Meat Seasoning, Chef Merito® Garlic Powder, and Chef Merito® Black Pepper.
  2. Grate the onion on the smallest side over the bowl so the juices drip over the meat. Mix all ingredients by kneading with hands until smooth and integrated.
  3. Press the meat down in the bowl and score it into 6 sections with your hand. Separate each section and form 6 patties with your hands or using a patty press.
  4. Cook on a grill or skillet at medium heat. Press lightly in the center of each patty to make an indentation to avoid shrinkage.
  5. Cook for about 5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  6. Assemble the hamburger by placing each patty on the bottom of a bun and topping with preferred garnishes.
