Ingredients
- 8 oz. uncooked elbow macaroni
- 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 3 cups Milk
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 1/2 cup Chef Merito® Seasoned Bread Crumbs
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
- Cook macaroni according to the package directions. Drain and reserve.
- While pasta is cooking, melt 1/4 cup of butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and whisk to make a roux.
- Add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Add Cheddar and Parmesan cheese and cook over low heat until cheese is melted and the sauce thickens, approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add cheese sauce over macaroni and mix well.
- Pour mixture into a 9" x 13" oven-safe dish.
- Melt 2 Tbsp. butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add Chef Merito® Seasoned Breadcrumbs to the skillet and brown.
- Spread prepared breadcrumbs over macaroni to cover.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
