Seasoned Rice With Shrimp Fajita Style

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 lb. medium peeled shrimp (frozen and thawed or fresh)
  • 12 oz. Chef Merito® Fajita Marinade
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. bell peppers (green, red, or a combination)
  • 1 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Garlic Powder
  • 2½ cups water

Preparation

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the rice and stir continuously with the oil for 6 minutes.
  3. Add the shrimp, onion, and bell peppers. Mix and stir continuously for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add the Fajita Marinade, garlic powder, and water.
  5. Mix everything well and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pan.
  6. Cook for approximately 17-20 minutes.
