Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean, ground beef
- 2 Romaine lettuce hearts, thinly sliced
- 1 cup sour cream or crema Mexicana
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar or Pepper Jack cheese
- 1 can pinto beans, drained
- 2 medium tomatoes, cut into ½” pieces
- ½ cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Meat and Steak Seasoning
- Cilantro to garnish
- Tortilla chips to garnish
Preparation
- Heat oil in a large skillet, then add lean beef and Chef Merito® Meat and Steak Seasoning. Cook for 10 minutes until browned and cooked through. Reserve.
- Place lettuce at the bottom of shallow bowls, then top with beef, tomatoes, sour cream, onion, cheese, and salsa.
- Garnish with cilantro and crushed tortilla chips. Enjoy!
Tip:
Replace the beef with any protein of your choice and try our other seasonings! Suggestions include chicken, shrimp, turkey, or tofu.
