Grilled Flap Steak

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs. of flap meat
  • 2 cups of Chef Merito® Meat Marinade
  • 1 tbsp. of olive oil

Preparation

  1. Place meat in a plastic bag along with Chef Merito® Meat Marinade.
  2. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
  3. Remove from the refrigerator. Discard the marinade.
  4. Pat steaks dry.
  5. Prepare the grill for direct heat cooking.
  6. Lightly coat the grill with olive oil.
  7. Place meat on the grill and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Slice and serve.

Suggestions:

Serve with pasta on the side. For extra flavor, drizzle some chimichurri sauce over the steaks right before serving.

Optional: Homemade Chimichurri Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp. of Chef Merito® Garlic Salt
  • 2 tbsp. of fresh oregano leaves, finely chopped
  • ½ cup of olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. of white wine vinegar
  • ¼ tbsp. Chef Merito® Black Pepper

Preparation:

  1. Mix parsley, Chef Merito® Garlic Salt, and oregano in a small bowl.
  2. Stir in olive oil, vinegar, and Chef Merito® Black Pepper.
  3. Serve over steaks.
