Peanut Sauce
Ingredients
- ¾ cup smooth natural peanut butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tsps. toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp. Chef Merito® Lime Juice
- 1 tsp. Chef Merito® Salt, Chile & Lemon
- 1 (5.6 ounce) can coconut milk
Optional: for garnish
- 2 tsps. chopped red bell pepper
- 2 tsps. chopped fresh cilantro, or to taste
Preparation
- Put peanut butter in a bowl. Whisk in garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, Chef Merito® Lime Juice, and Chef Merito® Salt, Chile & Lemon.
- Bring coconut milk to a simmer in a small pot and then add to the sauce. Mix well.
- Keep in the refrigerator and when ready to serve, garnish with chopped bell pepper and cilantro.
This sauce is great to use with beef, chicken, shrimp, and even raw vegetables.
