Spicy Chili Apples

Ingredients

  • 6 apples
  • 6 tamarind paste covers
  • 2 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Salt, Chili and Lemon Seasoning
  • 6 wooden sticks

Preparation

  1. Soak apples in hot water for 5 minutes to remove wax coating.
  2. Pat dry, remove stem, and insert a wooden stick into each one.
  3. Heat tamarind paste in the microwave for 10 seconds until soft.
  4. Using your hands or a rolling pin, stretch the tamarind paste until big enough to completely cover the apples.
  5. Cover the apples with the paste.
  6. Sprinkle with Chef Merito® Salt, Chili and Lemon seasoning to taste and enjoy!
