Ingredients

  • 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 serrano chiles
  • ⅓ cup cilantro, roughly chopped
  • 1 ¼ Tbsp. Chef Merito® Fish Seasoning
  • ½ red onion
  • 2 cucumbers
  • ½ cup Chef Merito® Lime Juice
  • 2 lemons
  • 4 tostadas
  • Chef Merito® Black Pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste

Preparation

  1. Thoroughly clean the shrimp and butterfly them by making a slit along the back.
  2. In a blender, blend the serrano chiles, cilantro, Chef Merito® Lime Juice, ½ chopped cucumber, and Chef Merito® Fish Seasoning.
  3. In a mixing bowl, pour the blended marinade over the shrimp and let it marinate for 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Cut the red onion julienne style. Peel the cucumbers, cut them in half lengthwise, and slice.
  5. Mix the red onion and cucumbers with the marinated shrimp, then add salt and Chef Merito® Black Pepper to taste.
  6. Serve chilled with tostadas. Enjoy!
