Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Fajitas Seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can (19 oz.) red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (14 ½ oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained

Toppings

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 avocado, chopped
  • ½ red onion, chopped
  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 1 container sour cream
  • Tortilla chips, stripped
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced

Note: Adjust toppings to your preference.

Preparation

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over high heat. Drain the fat.
  2. Stir in Chef Merito® Fajitas Seasoning, water, beans, and tomatoes.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve with toppings of your choice.
