Ingredients
- 1 Large Onion, diced
- 2 (16 oz.) Cans of Pork and Beans
- 3 Tbsp. Yellow Mustard
- 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
- 1/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar
- 4 Tbsp. Ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Lime Juice
- ½ pound Bacon strips, cut into ½ inch pieces
- 1 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Meat and Steak Seasoning
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a pan, brown bacon until it renders fat.
- Add onion and cook in bacon fat until translucent.
- In a Dutch oven or oven-safe container, mix onion, bacon, pork and beans, mustard, maple syrup, light brown sugar, ketchup, Chef Merito® Meat and Steak Seasoning, and lime juice.
- Bake, covered, for 45 to 60 minutes.
