Seasoned Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 20 large mushrooms of choice, stemmed
  • ¾ cup Chef Merito® Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 1 tsp. Chef Merito Garlic Salt (optional)
  • ½ cup grated Cotija cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. cilantro, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  2. In a bowl, combine Chef Merito® Seasoned Breadcrumbs with the Cotija cheese, cilantro, and 2 Tbsp. olive oil until well blended.
  3. Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth or paper towel to remove any dirt and stuff the cavities with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place them in an oiled, oven-safe dish or baking sheet with stuffing facing up.
  5. Sprinkle with Chef Merito® Garlic Salt to taste and drizzle remaining olive oil on top.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy!
