Shrimp Fajitas

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 2 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Lime Juice
  • 2 Tbsp. orange juice, fresh squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled, finely chopped
  • ½ jalapeño chili pepper, seeded, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp. cilantro, leaves only, finely chopped

Fajitas

  • 2 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Lime Juice
  • 1 lb. uncooked shrimp, peeled, deveined
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Fajitas Seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Garlic Salt

Preparation

Marinade

  1. Place the shrimp into a resealable food storage bag.
  2. Combine all marinade ingredients and coat the shrimp thoroughly.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.

Cooking

  1. Preheat a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add Chef Merito® Lime Juice to the pan.
  2. Add the bell peppers and onion to the pan, cooking for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the marinated shrimp along with the remaining vegetables.
  4. Add Chef Merito® Fajitas Seasoning and Chef Merito® Garlic Salt.
  5. Continue to sauté until the shrimp and vegetables reach the desired doneness.
  6. Remove from the pan and serve immediately.
