Ingredients
Marinade
- 2 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Lime Juice
- 2 Tbsp. orange juice, fresh squeezed
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled, finely chopped
- ½ jalapeño chili pepper, seeded, finely chopped
- 2 tsp. cilantro, leaves only, finely chopped
Fajitas
- 2 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Lime Juice
- 1 lb. uncooked shrimp, peeled, deveined
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Fajitas Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp. Chef Merito® Garlic Salt
Preparation
Marinade
- Place the shrimp into a resealable food storage bag.
- Combine all marinade ingredients and coat the shrimp thoroughly.
- Cover and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.
Cooking
- Preheat a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add Chef Merito® Lime Juice to the pan.
- Add the bell peppers and onion to the pan, cooking for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the marinated shrimp along with the remaining vegetables.
- Add Chef Merito® Fajitas Seasoning and Chef Merito® Garlic Salt.
- Continue to sauté until the shrimp and vegetables reach the desired doneness.
- Remove from the pan and serve immediately.
